We are Sandra van der Horst (a.k.a Sandra Mooijman) and Pieter van der Horst (a.k.a. sAner). We are both 32 years old. On May 12th 2007 we got married in Las Vegas, Nevada, USA! We kept it a secret and didn't tell anyone ... not even our parents! We have been together since March 1994 and found it about time to get married, but didn't want the whole circus that comes with a wedding. So there we were, on the K.O.A. campground in Vegas, next to the famous Circus Circus hotel/casino. A white limo picked us up ("You mean we have to pick you guys up from the K.O.A. campground??") and drove us to the world famous little white wedding chapel (Yes, Miss Spears got married there once when she was totally wasted!). We were the only people wearing our regular clothes! There was noone taking pictures but this excellent drawing from our very good friend Richard Helfenstijn comes very, very close to how it actually was on that Saturday in May 2007. :) Pieter really was wearing a poloshirt and we had to laugh so hard when we saw this picture. This was what it looked like!! Thanks a lot Rich for this fantastic drawing!
We are always on the look-out for nice photo opportunities and we try to be original. We especially like to take Wildlife and Landscape related photos. We always photograph together. Together we decide what settings to use, which angle to pick and what composition we should make. It's a matter of coincidence who will actually press the shutterbutton. The photos presented here are therefore always 'ours' and not necessarily 'his' or 'hers'.
We live in the Netherlands, but we love to travel and together we have been to the following countries & states; New Zealand, Singapore, Norway, Sweden, Denmark, Crete, Cyprus, Turkey, Egypt, Israel, Tunesia, Senegal, England, Alaska, Germany, France, Belgium, The Gambia, Scotland, Mexico, Canada, Russia, Arizona, Nevada, California & Utah.
Since March 2005 we own our first DSLR camera; a Canon EOS 350D. We are still very happy with that camera but we bought a more professional body in February 2007, a 30D. We intend to keep both bodies, but most future pictures will be shot with the new body. We will of course use the same glass we already used for the 350D and in april 2007 we bought the excellent 24-70mm f2.8 Canon L lens.

We also own the 430 EX Speedlite external flash and a remote shuttercontrol for both bodies. We once owned the Canon EF 28-135mm f3.5 IS USM, but sold it in 2008.
